When I’m not working, going to school or doing school work I’ll usually spend my time chillin with my friends, listening to music working out, playing video games, and working on personal projects in Photoshop, Illustrator etc. But outside of my usual hobbies I have a few that I put above everything else I just listed. These include going to the ocean, surfing and body boarding. I go to the ocean about one week out of the year every year and it is, by far, my favorite week of the year. I’ve been going to the ocean for 11 years now and I’ll never forget the first time I saw the ocean. I just stood watching in awe of the pure force of the waves crashing onto the beach, and I couldn’t wait to jump in for the first time. In my opinion, there is nothing else quite like the adrenaline rush you get from riding waves and going to the ocean.
If you couldn’t guess I love going to theOuter Banks, North Carolina. Yes, I have been to other beaches but they don’t compare to the Outer Banks. It’s a well respected surf spot as many of the top surfers love going to the Outer Banks to ride good quality waves. In some areas such as Cape Hatteras the water is a little cooler and pretty murky, but that’s what makes it special. The Outer Banks is full of strong currents, great waves and a lot of fun! Take a look at what Outer Banks surf looks like below…
Surfing and going to the ocean truly is one of my favorite hobbies. I’d like to continue that hobby and visit all the beaches I just listed and many others. One thing I love about the ocean is that no wave is the same and every beach I listed has some of the world’s best waves. Below, take a look at some of the world’s best surf spots.
Teahupoo, Tahiti
North Shore Pipeline, Oahu Hawaii
